Rupal has a vision for a better future, one that incorporates social, environmental and economical change. She wants to make the world a better place just as musicians do with their art. As a result, she has dedicated her career to this triple bottom line and worked to be a change agent in every position she has held.
Rupal has over 15 years of experience working in a variety of industries including transportation, hospitality, retail, clean energy and sustainability. She has worked for large corporations that strive themselves on longevity, build their futures on innovation and recognize the importance for embracing change. Fortune 500 companies like GE, Ford and Visteon.
In her role as Director of Strategic Initiatives for The Energy Coalition, a local non-profit consulting organization, she was responsible for a large-scale program that worked with the public sector including schools, cities, counties and other special districts. She designed and implemented a program and helped save money, reduce carbon emissions, and encourage workforce development. In addition, she has experience working with low and moderate income (LMI) communities and understands how to recognize and promote the underserved. Throughout her career, she has held leadership positions on a variety of diversity committees and worked to be a role model for the global citizen.
Rupal now brings this expertise and passion for change to Invested Musician. Her goal is to enhance the music education system with economic solutions, systems and ideas that help drive musicians forward, especially in challenging times. This combined with nearly 10 years of experience managing a musician business, understanding the industry, learning the rules and finding a successful path make her a great resource for music professionals looking to improve their career prospects, income level and growth potential.
Rupal graduated from the University of Michigan with an M.B.A. in Strategic Marketing and an M.S. in Environmental Sustainability as part of the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise. She also holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota Institute of Technology, is Lean Six Sigma certified and has LEED AP O+M accreditation from the US Green Building Council. Most recently, she studied tax law as it pertains to musicians and became a CRTP licensed tax professional.
In her spare time, Rupal enjoys spending time with Andrew and her two boys and keeping up with her family, many of whom are business owners and entrepreneurs themselves. She loves traveling, music, cooking with Andrew, meditating and yoga.
